This system of conveyor is to serve in TFT-LCD (thin-film transistor liquid-crystal display) industry. It contains a turning platform to cooperate with robot arms from 3 sides and a non-contact transmission system to avoid causing particles due to fiction and thus fit the criteria of the dust-free room. It is totally 80-meter- long and is controlled by computer programs and sensors to stop the cassette containing panels at every stage.
Due to the dilemma between cost (using less material as possible) and performance in mechanics, including sustaining forces and avoiding big deformation, the optimization method is the best solution. CAE (computer aided engineering) will be the fastest and easiest way to solve this sophisticated mathematics. Thus, the software, ANSYS, to analyze several part mechanism of the system and check is applied.
